| Ken Berry's ResumeBeginning as a young boy with the traveling troup known as "The Horace Heidt Youth Opportunity Program", Ken Berry has worked in every phase of the entertainment industry. His first local theatrical recognition came from the very successful "Billy Barnes Revues". That exposure led to a burgeoning career in television and growing credits on most of the major series of that time. Semi-regular roles were eventually followed by three hit series. The first, "F Troop", has assumed a kind of cult status and is still playing somewhere at some time every day of the year. Next came three years on the enormoulsy popular spin-off of the "Andy Griffith Show", "Mayberry R.F.D.". Then, after co-starring in the C.B.S. special "Eunice", Ken became "Vinton Harper" and enjoyed six years as a member of "Mama's Family". During those years, many hours were also logged in theatres around the country. His favorite starring roles were as "George M.", "The Music Man", and in many productions of "I Do! I Do!", "Promises, Promises", "No, No Nanette", "Oklahoma", "Lend Me a Tenor", "Run for Your Wife", and literally countless others. Ken also starred in the films "Herbie Rides Again" with Helen Hayes, and in "The Cat From Outer Space", as well as numerous guest appearances on notable television shows. |
